Comment on Project Task 4 - Implementing a change with Technology

Hi everybody,

As I mentioned, before I am not going to do a Project, but a Plan because I don’t teach the same students for more than a month, so Donna recommended my doing of a Plan. Well, I think I said I am considering using blogs to get my students to be engaged in the writing of Essays in the “Writing Academic English” course I teach from time to time.  The students find this course sometimes boring and feel that the topics to write their Essays suggested by the textbook are not encouraging enough. I’ve been searching the net and I found some interesting websites related to Academic Writing. For example, UEfAP: Academic Writing - Using English for Academic Purposes  http://www.uefap.com/writing/writfram.htm, Advice on Academic Writing   http://www.writing.utoronto.ca/advice, How To Write Academic English Essay http://ezinearticles.com/?How-To-Write-Academic-English-Essays&id=738224, Paragraph Writing exercises http://www.buowl.boun.edu.tr/students/Paragraph%20Writing%20Exercises.htm, How To Write an Essay   http://esl.about.com/cs/writing/ht/ht_essay.htm.

  1. Hi Esteban,
Thanks for recommending these sites. all seem to be useful, but the one about paragraph writing is my favorite already because of its interactive nature. Further, paragraph writing is the key to effective essay, but there aren't many handy supplementary materials like this around.
Good like in your project plan.
Can you give more details about how to integrate blogwriting into the academic writing?
    Best
